Warlock 098 has been released

Warlock 098 Changelog

New:
- New spell: Silence (entangle toggle). Entangle has been renamed to "Disable" with toggles "Entangle" and "Silence".
- Removed toggle: Rush (Strafe)
- Added toggle: Thrust (Phoenix)
- Added a new combo (involving Rush and Phoenix)
- Remade Staff of Fireball
- Remade Aegis
- Added new "random spell" commands (in addition to -rs1):
"-rs1" = all players lose one random spell from each column
"-rs2" = all players lose two random spell from each column
"-rs3" = all players lose the same random spell from each column
"-rs4" = all players lose the same two random spells from each column
You can apply random spell commands multiple times, but then risk ending up with columns having no spells.
- Initial gold cost increased to 20 gold
- Masteries now provides 2.5% knockback reduction per level

Fixes:
- Fixed a fatal bug involving the use of the '-teams#' command (it allowed to type commands during game, caused multiple Warlocks to spawn for each player, caused lag, etc.)
- Fixed several outdated tooltips
- Fixed two major bugs regarding the setup constants
- Fixed several effect bugs
- Fixed a bug allowing lightning to pierce shield
- Fixed a bug causing shield to upgradable to level 9 (where shield, as all other C spells are only supposed to be upgradable to level 8)
- Fixed the APM system (write -apm to see your actions per minute of all players - only enabled in round mode at the moment)

Balances:
- Bouncer mechanics remade (it now targets closest target regardless of team)
- Initial cost of all R spells increased by 3
- Drain (slow) movement speed reduction increased from 60 to 70
- Time Shift initial gold cost decreased from 15 to 14
- Avatar curse/buff duration changed in favor for the Avatar by 20% (this includes all time based spells, including the new silence spell).
- Avatar HP decreased for low number of players
- Avatar knockback resistance now depends on number of players (12 players will make him take 8 times less knockback)
- Rush gold cost increased by 1
- Swap range increased by 100
- Swap upgrade cost decreased by 1
- Swap (relocate) cooldown decreased by 1.
- Lava treads duration decreased by 2 seconds and hp buff decreased slightly
- Fire Spray (stream) no longer relies on randomness.
- Removed knockback increase from Mask of Death (now matching the tooltip)
- Slightly increased thrust cooldown at higher levels
- Fireball-lightning combo can now be performed using friendly fireballs
- Pocket Watch duration buff slightly increased
- Link (hook) cooldown slightly changed (cooldown at level 1 increased by 1, but decreases faster when upgrading).

- Removed the "-tmedit#" command. The "teams#" command can now be used in both setup and in-game.

Warlock 097 has been released

New:
- A setup system, which will allow multiple commands using just one string: Example:
"-gold 30,dm,sh,C 5 20,10"
This will set gold to 30, mode to dm, teams to shuffle, constant 5 to 20, and number of rounds to 10 and thus starting the game.

- Improved shuffle command. "-sh min" or "-sh max" will start a shuffle mechanism which will either attempt making the smallest teams or the biggest teams possible. 'Random shuffle' is still available by simply writing "-sh".

- Added text to indicate self damage (from Scourge-alike spells). Blue numbers are for 'sacrificial damage' (doesn't add knockback damage)
- Added "-n" command to clear all text

Fixes:
- Splitter (target) issues and exploits have been fixed by changing the mechanics of the spell
- Link (induction) issues have been fixed by changing mechanics of the spell
- Fixed several major bugs in the timer system, causing timed spells to attach to wrong objects. This bug resulted in infinite buff and curse durations occuring occasionally.
- Fixed a point system bug in round mode
- Pillar bug: "Large Warlock Collider"
- Pillar stuck bug
- A bug causing Thrust to get a speed boost when used near pillars

Balances:
- Splitter (target) mechanics remade
- Splitter (area) rebalanced
- Link (induction) mechanics remade
- Strafe (rush toggle) cooldown decreased by 5 for all levels
- Lightning cooldown increased by 0.5 seconds for level 1. Knockback slightly increased.
- Homing range no longer increases per upgrade. Duration increased by 0.5.
- Boomerang range no longer increases per upgrade
- Range mastery now increases range of all D spells by 15% per level
- Range mastery initial cost reduced by 2 gold
- Life steal mastery initial cost reduced by 1 gold
- All mastery level increment costs reduced by 1 gold
- Thrust-WindWalk combo knockback reduced from 100% to 75%
- Thrust no longer bounces away when colliding with pillars
- Several items have been tweaked (including Lava Treads, Aegis and Cape)

- Added a spell penalty system which will reduce knockback of your primary spell (lightning, homing, boomerang) depending on how many spells you have purchased. Masteries will reduce this effect. Type '-stats' to see the penalty.
- Burning effect when walking on lava
- Replaced magical binding with entangle (missile speed increased, slightly lower duration, bigger AoE and has a new effect)
- Exploding pillars now deals knockback damage (increases damage points), but has less AoE
- Added toggle for rush: "Strafe"

- Reworked the mechanics of splitter (target)

Fixes:
- Fixed the magical binding knockback bug

Balances:
- Lava Treads lava damage reduction removed, cooldown decreased from 40 to 30, duration decreased from 5/7/9 to 5/6/7.
- Cape lava damage reduction removed, gold cost reduced from 10 to 8, ms penalty reduced from 8/12/16 to 8/10/12.
- Lightning damage reduced by 1
- Homing duration increased by ~50%, but no longer increases duration by upgrading homing (range mastery will still increase its duration)
- Swap (Displacement) range no longer increases with upgrades. The projectile no longer hits missiles. Scourge cannot be cast during the displacement.
- Swap (Relocate) projectile speed significantly decreased. Relocate now hits missiles. Cooldown decreased significantly.
- Fire Spray (cluster) damage reduced by 0.2
- Thrust damage increase per upgrade decreased from 0.6 to 0.3. Thrust knockback increased ~20%.
- Splitter (Area) cooldown reduced at higher levels

Misc:
- Pillar respawn removed (will still respawn each round)
- Entangle now has a visual AoE effect if AoE mastery is purchased
- Lightning now has a slightly increased visual range when not hitting, in order to remove/decrease the visual 'stretching effect'. It has no gameplay impact.
- Removed "Lava damage increase"
- Splitter (AoE) no longer has a random rotation offset. The initial direction of mini-projectiles will be along the direction of the main projectile.
- Optimization and softcoding on mid-often used triggers (including damage system)
- Command "-tmedit" (used to change teams during games) no longer requires slot number to set teams. Writing -tmedit00111 will now set the first* two players on 'team 0' (red) and the next 3 players on 'team 1' (blue). First meaning those found on top of the list (e.g. red and teal, assuming blue has left the game).

A note: More changes were planned for 096, but was released 'early' due to holidays.

- Shield duration decreased by 0.1 seconds overall
- Most item prices have been slightly reduced, and some of the items slightly modified.

- Replaced the 0 pillar option with a 'single random pillar'. The 0 pillars option is still available by setting pillar constant to 1, but it will not occur with standard settings
- Added '-mgl' command by demand (starts a 5vs5 game, 10 rounds)

- Default lava damage decreased to 9 dps instead of 10
- Avatar gains additional HP regeneration
- Avatar maximum HP decreased by 40

Warlock Arena on Warcraft

- CTE is working again
- Shuffle mode now works for deathmatch
** Teams will shuffle every periodic action (3 minutes, see the UI clock)
** Players in team are rewarded 1 point if the team kills another player
** The killer is rewarded one additional point
** The assister will get one point
** The victim will lose one point
** Gold system works like normal deathmatch
- Added spell toggle for meteor: Magma
- Added spell toggle for swap: Relocate
- Added homing feature: Homing can hit the caster (and allies) resulting in a temporary speed boost and an AoE explosion with 120% knockback (the only knockback rate above 100% in Warlock)
- Deathmatch now has 12 seconds shop time at start
- Invulnerable players (right after spawn) now deals half damage
- Commands "-cam ###" and "-cam###" are now both supported
- Constant added to change initial shop time (the value is halved for deathmatch mode)
- Killing spree and double kill sounds no longer cancels one another. The killing spree sound will be delayed slightly for the situations where both sounds should be played.

- Fixed a bug in shuffle mode causing the randomized teams not to be completely random. Players next to each other (player number) tended to be on the same team.
- Fixed a potential bug involving Fire Spray toggle and Deathmatch
- Fixed a common bug causing first blood or killing spree sound not to be played if the killer is on a spree. Killing sprees now have higher priority than first blood.
- Fixed a bug causing "ending [player]'s [spree]" to be missing
- Removed a "wincount" debug message
- Fixed the pillar hide exploit also known as Large Warlock Collider (LWC), which could generate extreme velocities for a warlock hiding in multiple pillars.
- TimeShift now removes slow.
- Meteor (meteorite mode) is no longer affected by gravity.
- Fixed a bug causing UI text to disappear when draw mode is initiated.
- Fixed a bug causing "fireball accuracy" to count during shop time.
- Fixed a bug causing multiboard to display incorrect point values in Avatar mode.
- Fixed a bug causing splitter missiles to deal damage to pillars.
- Fixed a text bug when a player is on killing spree above "holy s***"
- The '-untitle' command now affects the multiboard

- Splitter target mode now deals a small AoE damage if it lands near an enemy, but doesn't release any projectiles
- Gravity damage reduced from 0.4+0.2*upgrades to 0.3+0.1*upgrades
- Gravity no longer requires AoE mastery
- Gravity gold upgrade cost now increases with 1 gold instead of 2
- Gravity force reduced by 10
- Time Shift doesn't shift damage or hitpoints without reason. If you won't lose any life during time shift, you will keep what you regenerated or stole. Same for damage points.
- Homing mechanics slightly changed

Items:
- Blood Sword cost reduced from 16 to 14
- Aegis cost reduced from 17 to 16
- Staff of Fireball cost reduced from 15 to 13
- Staff of Fireball impact reduces fireball cooldown from 4.8 to 3.0 instead of from 4.8 to 3.2

What needs to be done:

- Make balanced constants for 1vs1 in "-League B"

- Wind Walk no longer deals AoE damage to the main target. This solves the known 'extreme knockback issue' of Wind Walk.
- Arisen in -ghost mode can no longer hurt the hidden
- Boomerang can no longer be cast at close range, resulting in a major 'boomerang flyback'
- Cape no longer has twice as much hp regeneration as it was supposed to

Miscellaneous
- Meteor now has shadow
- Meteor size is depending on the level of metoer and AoE mastery

Warlock 087 changelog

New Stuff
- New item: The Stone of Jordan Ring
[There will not be much new, but we are currently trying to work something out]

Balances:
- Boomerang: Reduced cooldown for the spell on the first upgrades.
- Drain: No longer increases speed after changing direction. Collision size reduced.
- Fireball: Collision size increased (from 20 to 22).
- Lightning+fireball: Reduced the AoE range of the explosion
- Life steal mastery: Life steal increased from 6/3% to 8/4% per upgrade.
- Mask of Death: Life steal increased from 24/12% to 32/16%

Fixes:
- Splitter no longer has a 0 second cooldown
- Displacement no longer interrupt the target's spells
- Helm 3 now displays the correct hp bonus and knockback reduction
- Bouncer now has correct tooltips
- Life steal mastery upgrade now has correct tooltips
- Staff of Fireball no longer keeps the fireball damage when it is sold

Miscellaneous:
- To set constants, you can now write -c instead of -C
- Drain will reduce additional damage points when the caster has full hitpoints.

Notes to the bug finders:
- If you take damage while rush, the attacker will still gain 'damage dealt' on the score points. This is intended, thus you can still kill players who are under the effect of rush.
- If you move at a great velocity toward a pillar, you will be knocked back - just as in real life.


Feel free to suggest balances and report bugs which are not stated in the log already
... none of the technical bugs are listed yet, since their cause is still somewhat unknown

*-hidden:
One player is hidden (permanently invisible who has the new unique Cataclysm spell instead of Scourge)
All other players need to kill the hidden
If you kill hidden and have dealt enough damage, you will become the hidden
Friendly fire is on. Dealing damage to friendly will result in a reduced change of being hidden.
Points are gained by killing the hidden and killing other players while you are hidden.
Teamkills count as the hidden's kills.
The person with most points win.

**-vampire
Same as -hidden with following exceptions:
Warlocks who are killed by the hidden will arise to fight for the hidden

Fixed a bug causing first clarity potion to fail
Fixed a bug causing text messages to appear twice in startup

Warlock Brawl 084 has been released

Gameplay notes:
-Deathmatch
- Team mode and FFA is available in Deathmatch
- Deathmatch winning conditition is based on points (cap is defined by host)
- Points - Assist: 1 - Killsteal: 1 - Pure kill: 2 - Death: -1
- Players revive after 10 seconds and are invulnerable for 5 seconds after respawn
- There might be many constants in deathmatch, which can't be changed (prototype)
- Knockback and lava damage modifiers (items) will only take effect when you respawn

-C league
- Preset constants. Almost all constants are set as default with following exceptions:
- Lava arena shrink per player is set to 13
- Rounds are set to 12
- Terrain (-C 12) is not pre-set and can be modified before writing -C league

Time Shift and teleport?
- The perfect suicide combo, but can be 'denied' if target uses scourge. Note that scourge will only cancel link if the link caster uses time shift.

- Warlock 082b is the first stable Warlock version
